Glad to know that some kids have a mentor they can look up to. Can't say I know anything about knitting; seems like creative meditation...& I'm sure it's enjoyable.
Just to say the 'Zimmermania' blog got my attention...as a dyed-in-the-wool Dylan afficianado. Nothing to do with Robert Zimmerman of course, but thought the notion might amuse you. Wouldn't be surprised if you liked him too?
